beneficial discovery
There are a lot of beneficial discovery
in China, such as: Yuan Longping discovered hybrid rice, Tu Youyou discovered artemisinin and so on. I think the
beneficial discovery in China was Qian Xuesen and Deng Jiaxian discovered and
made the atomic bomb, It was the most important thing in the last 100 years of
China, It told the world that China became a strong and big country.
In the 1960’s, because of the Cold War
between the Soviet Union and the United States, China became not safe, because
these two countries thought China was not a very strong and powerful country,
so they want use China to attack each other, so at that time, the president of
China, called Mao Zedong wanted all the scientists to discover a new type of guided
missile, so the leader of the scientists called Qian Xuesen and Deng Jiaxian
found a lot of things and do a lot of experiments. In 1964, they discovered the
first atomic bomb in China. Because of that, China became the third country who
had the atomic bomb, the first and second were the United States and the Soviet
Union. It showed the world: China became stronger, some super country couldn’t threat
China.
That’s why the atomic bomb was a
beneficial discovery in China.
